You're So LAZY!...or are You Actually Hardworking? (Dr. Steven Fonso)
Hello! I don't believe that. If panic attacks are not dangerous, then why trying to stop them? We don't need to.
if you are referencing the title of the video without watching the video, okay, super opinion. This a video to assist people in composing themselves in a situation in which they need to be more composed. The video contains a way for people to connect to their body, feel the rhythms of their breath, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. I am assuming you didn't watch the video based on your response. I appreciate you and all the best.

Probably 5th one❤😊
After a powerful session of pupping iron and eating chicken breast raw I always make sure to overload my vagus nerve by straining with maximum nerve impulse while I take that post pump dump. The real work out begins after the work out.
😂 love it …any way to stim that vagal system

Thanks for making it quick
the intro song slowed it down, but we did our best 🔥

💯
Didn't help at all. I needed a guided practise, not talking about the practise.

that’s rough, i hear ya. There are multiple approaches, yet probably the least tedious is work through the body armour at the beginning to release some of the stored emotion. Here’s a link to a free 20 min class I posted that be helpful for you.

Wow that's very nice to know
Wow, it worked like a magic to me 🎉 Thank you
awesome !
I get angry when my partner doesn't stop talking because she says mean stuff and it triggers me. I always try to avoid it by putting in my headphones and when I do, the quarrel continues. When I try to leave the apartment so to avoid getting triggered, she threatens to pack her things and leave. When I move to the other room she follows me to the next one. Then I decide to pay attention and then end up talking back at her thereby making the neighbours hear us. And this is quite embarrassing. Now she's saying she's leaving. Even tho I feel heartbroken and useless, I just have to believe that it is what it is. Sighs.
Update?
Great video! Thank you! How do you reframe the pet greeting you when you come home? When my dog died that was the first thing that was missing upon entering the door. And it spiraled down from that.
I make sure they can see all the “support” around the house so as they enter in the house, they already feel an abundance of support. If i need to get more specific, i would ask how they “feel” when the dog greets them, and then ask what else in the home or their life makes them feel that way. Then the mind moves from only seeing the dog providing it, to all the other things/people in their life providing the exact same feeling. Hope that helps. ❤
@@drstevefonso Thank you!
Amazing video! Thank you! I had a very annoying pain, and it really helped!
awesome!!! This is still a go to exercise when I don’t have much time and don’t know the person very well ❤
@@drstevefonso In moments when techniques like this one help I feel like I'm in Matrix. It's all in our brain.
@@mysli_vsluhyes, believe me, each day working with clients I feel the same way ❤
Great video! Good luck to your channel! In every 'bad' situation think about advantages to a negative outcome and disadvantages of a positive one. I think this technique can also help when you're expecting some outcome that's been taking some time. This way you can reduce anxiety and stress. Am I right?
thank you 🙏 ❤
yes!!!! i just did that with a woman who was having an anxiety about her mom not passing away yet as she is on the rapid decline, and wishing she would just pass away to stop suffering…anxiety and worry that she will continue on and just keep declining..so we did a similar exercise and she saw that by her sticking around longer, allowed her and her siblings to unite, build stronger bonds, resolve some old family mishaps, and heal the sibling rivalries. Needless to say, her anxiety was gone and she was accepting and content with the current reality. ❤
@@drstevefonso You're a great professional. God bless you!
Thank you ..
you’re welcome..and keep your girls movement going !!! Our world needs you ❤
Is anyone else concerned about how close this male doctor is sitting to her with his legs spread? His body language is pretty awful for someone trying to help with panic attacks!
our observations of reality reveal our voids. 🙏
Thanks so much for your concern, internet stranger, but I assure you that I felt quite safe and comfortable in this video. If closeness with other human beings (especially while in a state of distress) is something that bothers you, I encourage you to explore that within yourself.
@@Annafly11 I am a certified trauma therapist and I would never violate my clients' personal space in this way. It is my experience with trauma survivors and those with panic disorder that they feel more anxious when others close in on their personal space.
I’m going through radiation and I can’t move during treatment. I’m on my third treatment and have had a panic attack each time. Since I can’t touch my stomach or move do you have any tricks?
Oh geez, thinking of you and hoping for a great recovery. My suggestion would be to close your eyes and focus on pacing your breath, 7 seconds in, 7 out or 9 in, 9 out. The 7 will promote alpha brainwaves to relax and the 9 will promote a deeper presence and relaxation.
Thanks a lot, will apply this from today and will try to overcome the obstacles of stucked mind. Please post few more suggestions to overcome the repeated stuck/block patterns of mind.
what are you looking to overcome? it could be helpful to have a touch more detail
Hi! Thanks for an informative video regarding HRV and mental health. A quick question: If a patient is clinically depressed, but also has comorbeid anxiety, how will this affect the HRV?
That’s a great question. Here’s what i’ve noticed…the anxiety is a superficial layer of the deeper perception of future loss of life. Loss of something we value equals sadness. So if the anxiety is acute, it will result in spike hrv upward, if it’s more chronic, i would likely see the correlating drop of depressiveness because the baseline emotional state is sadness. Hope that helps.(clear as mud??) 😬
Very valuable video. This could help a lot of people.
thank you for watching!
I am quick to anger for the stupidest things and is almost costing me my relationship and I do love my fiancee very much and don't want to loss him.
Same here what we can do 😢
here’s my experience…we are all wired a little differently. Acknowledged. And at the same time, I would say the vast majority of my clients that engage in somatic work, like various forms of breathwork, do quite well. Think 4-6 months of 3-5x/wk in some form of breathwork. You will notice that your nervous system has increasing amounts of time to process what is going on.

I had my first (that im aware of and it realy scared me.iv been having a lot to deal with on the run up to it. Luckily I have a gem of a partner, who saw me through it.❤🎉❤ By the way your stunning!
This entire video just blew my mind and I needed it so bad! Me and my girlfriend love each other so much and sometimes I just get really angry over the stupidest things and often end up saying really mean things that aren't true or necessary and it really sets us back a lot. It really is around feeling tired and low energy and not having a strategy in the moment. Thank you so much I'm definitely subscribing
thank you, our newest videos we’ve put out are a little longer with more depth of deeper understanding of human behaviour. Thank you, and suggestions are welcome 🙏
For me, having something alkalizing or a glass of whole milk stops them. I also breathe through the left nostril, the cooling channel, and use a far infrared heat lamp on the thyroid. With those 3 steps, even hormonal anxiety is gone in moments.
I started getting panic attacks and other bad neurological symptoms immediately after (actually during) trying IV therapy (glutathione, COQ10, etc.) I don't think I ever even come close to having a panic attack before that, but now I can barely walk the neighborhood without feeling like one could come on. It usually comes with the feeling of my brain wanting to shut off and my nasal passage closing up. It's so weird, and was very extreme the first couple weeks. I couldn't even sleep because it felt like I was going to pass out or fall into a coma instead of fall asleep. I'll try this technique if I feel like a panic attack could be getting close again. One thing that seems to help me slightly is a cold pack on the forehead
thanks for sharing that
Thank you!!!
Thank you for commenting and watching. ❤
My experience and practice is the following. I lay down wherever I am. It can be even in the center of a street or pedestrian way. This helps me "open" my lungs and chest theoretically and practically. This is a way to trick my mind that I am in a better position, my mind stops focusing that much to me but more to the surrounding and I stare up to the sky. In both cases either at home or outside I convince myself that what I actually need is not more oxygen. This is so false. Accordingly I breath slower and keep it that way. I unfollow the speed of hearbeat, I go against it. At the same time I keep a small smile on my mouth. This one also switches brain to a positive side. You will ask, is it easy? Nothing is easy and this again is not a lesson but works for me. Hope it will help others as well. ❤
Thank you man, thank you so much. I had a couple of traumas one after another in a short period of life and after that I struggle with panic attacks often. Recently I could get better with the help of a social worker but still it hunts me from time to time. This technique is going to be an addition for me. Needless to say I go through at least a couple of them for bringing myself back to the present.
